About Chris
Chris returns with the Gary Bos Golf Academy for his 4th season in 2011..
You will find Chris very much involved with both private & group golf lessons over the course of the season, as well as leading some of our highly successful Ladies 5-Week Drive Chip & Putt Golf Schools in spring & summer months.
Having joined the PGA of Canada in 1994 as an apprentice at the Lookout Point Country Club in nearby Fonthill, he attained his Class 'A' status in 2003. Chris' teaching career includes 12 years at Lookout Point as well as 1 year as the Head Teaching Professional at The Grand Niagara Resort in 2007. In 2008, Chris was recruited to be the Lead Staff Instructor of the Bill Madonna Golf Academy. Bill is a Master Professional of the P.G.A. from Orlando, Florida and is annually recognized as one of the top 100 Teaching Professionals in the United States. Chris also teaches night school golf in Welland for The District School Board of Niagara which he has done for the past 10 years.
In his 17 years of teaching, Chris has worked with students of all ages and abilities. Chris' teaching philosophy is simple and is based on the absolute fact that 'Golf is a target game in which the ball is never the target'. This philosophy is universal to all who wish to learn or improve their game.
